hey if there was anybody writing down times or you was there on Sat and can prove what number you ran, contact me as there is nothing in data for Valdosta except for Sunday elimination runs to go into stats. If i don't hear from anybody by Weds I'm going with just the elimination runs only.
I do have these runs Westcotts 8.221 Daniels 8.25 I'm trying to get a hold of record sheet to at least include those runs. Stats goes to Howell's on Weds. |

Westcott Fri 1 run 8.39 160+ Sat Run 1 8.25 160+ Run 2 8.25 160+ got REAL LOOSE around 3rd gear. Sun Run 1 8.22 160+ Daniels Sat Run 1 8.25 157+ Run 2 8.50? Spun in 3rd gear...That run it was flying would have been the run to beat. Sun Run 1 Spun? The track on Sat was real, real cold and there were major problems with bald spots and cars spinning. There were S/C dragsters blowing the tires off at the start. Westcott was the first car out every time. Also on Westcotts last run it is hard to see on the video but the water box was half way to the starting line. So cars were going a little farther with there burnouts. Great runs by both racers. Fun to watch. |

I think daniels went 28, then shut off on 2nd saturday run, Than went 29 sunday. I am sure My (new) buddy David will get us all up to speed. Obviously that race was enjoyable for me cause things worked out for a change, but I would like to say that I have more fun at D2 events than anywhere else I ever go. Very laid back, 3 runs on saturday, and than cause some guys didnt get to back up their records on saturday, they gave everyone else another run on sunday. I have never seen that, you are lucky to get 2 runs at a D1 event. The track was prepped well as far as I was concerned, I think the guys with alot of power, and radials were having trouble down track, I never had any at all. They had T/S and T/D cars there, and for whatever reason it didnt take as long as it does usually, no crashes, do drama, and alot less staff than most races I have been to. I never met the new DD, but a couple people told me, including the staff I asked about it, that he is a great guy. I look forward to running down there again, and its too bad they dont have a sports national or something at that track. That would be killer, sportsnat at No Problem, and Valdosta, and no columbus.

Charlie also pulled 5 to 6 feet past any water that was in the water box when he did his burnout (as shown clearly in the video provided for us)

If you all want to start a class action letter about my burnout, than get started on it. I pulled out of the water cause the guy sprayed the hose in the box EVERY TIME a car pulled out of it, I never got the tires to hook out of the water once unless I went forward more than normal. The track was cold, and the water trailed 6 feet out of the box. I think its funny that people want to bitch about this, and I have seen 2 or 3 hemi cars this year go 150+ with no parachutes on, and that doesnt seem to be an issue. One of them won a race this year.
I won a piece of paper. later cw |

Section 2 - Race Procedures
Page 2.1 Divisional event burnout limitations are at the discretion of the event director. I assume that would go the same for Opens. No qualifying sheet from this race? Anybody getting horsepower?
