2010 Mustangs in NHRA classification guide...need help to i.d. one combo

This is the combo I was going putting in my new BIW CJ. This motor is not a cheap motor to build. You must use a $700 new throttle body, $700 new intake, and $2300 new factory cylinder heads. That puts you just under $ 4000 for the top haft. I don’t think you can build a full blown 281ci race ready motor for under $8500. Why would you build a 281ci for $8000 to $9000 to run K/SA. When you can build a new 428ci for $12000 to $13000 and run A/SA.

These cars are not as easy and cheap to clone as everyone thinks. You better plan on spending $30000 plus after you buy a car. I’m well over $40,000 on my car right now and still need $6000 to $10000 to finish it.

I went on Ford's site looking for the unique CJ parts.
Yes, it can add up quick. $ 950 hood, special grill. emblem and CJ gas cap. Not sure if the the front bumper cover is unique or not.

I found a dealer 3 hours from here showing they have the "Hot Rod 3V" crate engine.

Ford claims 350 hp from the engine, but also has removed the engine from their site.
If the "150 hp over factored hp" rule is close, then we would only need another 35 hp to get the car under index ? Just curious.

You can't use the heads, intake and throttle body form that hot rod motor. Those part numbers are not approved.

Look at the part numbers that are approved for the 2010 CJ 281.

After viewing the Ford site, we might just pass on this deal and wait till they approve the 2011 GT 5.0 for competition....lol

(edit; actually the throttle body, heads (cnc ported) and intake in the engine spec sheet are better than the ones on the 3v crate engine)

The heads intake and throttle body are way better but they cost eight times as much. It would be a more cost effective motor if you could use factor top half parts. When the 5.0 motor gets approved (which it will) look for it to be rated somewhere around 250hp.

Yeah, I wonder what engines the 2012 CJ wil be available with ?
The 5.0 crate engine will sell like crazy to the Street Rod crowd, as well as Fox Body fans.

On another point about the 2012 CJ's they will be available in red and blue in addition to the usual white.
