Mark Lelchook (Performance Welding)...I haven't looked at Nitro Joe's statistics but dare say Mark's is fastest...and it has much of Brad's magic touch.

Gene Bueul (spelling?) had the C/SA record in the high 10.30's with a 1970 340 6-pack Challenger T/A a few years ago. I'm sure it got hit with HP afterwards and I can't recall the last time I saw it on a qualifying sheet.

I had just spoken to Mark before you posted this. Your right Andrew, it wasn't 127. It was at Topeka and I promised I wouldn't say how fast it really was. Sorry. Jim

Gene Buell parked car a couple years ago to go 4 x 4 ing in his jeep. I believe it went 10.2's at C/SA weight four or five years ago. and it still will! He let me look at it as long as I wanted (I bought him dinner) when he set record in Vegas and was very 100% legit and the real deal. I'll stop by and see if I can talk him into bringing it out again. In my opinion it has been fastest small block mopar for about 10 years. His Demon was in my opinion the fastest for the ten years before that week in and week out.......although mine managed to sneak by it now and then.
Mile Coe's cars are always very fast for the last 20 years that I can remember and always the best finished and detailed I have ever seen! I am ashamed to have mine parked anywhere near it ! Last edited by GTX JOHN; 10-21-2010 at 01:58 AM. |
