Maybe because Bob didn't have his future weather prediction beanie on two weeks ago.
What next to jump on? Jeez.

NHRA Div 1 should seriously consider changing their schedule to race more in the summer and limit the race schedule beyond the month of September. The Dutch Classic has always been in October and is the best race of the year to many racers.....if the weather is good, but It often is not......
I have not run many events this year but if I did I would much rather race in the heat than in the cold, wind and rain........Track conditions are not usually anywhere near as iffy when it's hot and the sun is out.....slow yes and maybe traction is not the best but we all get down the track.....usually..... I think it is really no way the fault of Bob Lang and his crew....but they need to change the schedule and NOT race in March/earlyApril or mid to late October......

My car hooks in my backyard..... NHRA and Bob Lang usually do fine. I watch them working at the crack of dawn .... Some summer showers are unavoidable but if the sun comes out we're golden.... The hottest event I can recall was at Numidia around 2003 or 2004.....I was running S/C ......air temps were 96-98 with DA well over 4000' .......I went .002 red around rd 4 cause my brain was overheated and I staged like a dork.......I sat in the lanes too long and the sun definately was tough to fight off at that race......... I would prefer the heat anyday.......some of my best days were when it was blisteringly hot...... P.S. Yankees are down 3-0 but it's early.......and I have more beer! LOL

Now it's 5-0 Rangers-the Yankees have the Rangers right where they want them (or at least that score early worked out well for the Yankees last night). Still you gotta worry about the Yankees starting pitching. Can the bullpen always keep the Rangers of the scoreboard? And boy do I wish the Sox ever had David Murphy back-I wonder which semi-pro team Eric Gagne is pitching for this month. |
