You're right, time runs are a courtesy for SC/SG racers.

You could show up for round one and go. Tough to be competitive, but it's been done.
Yup, I was worried there would be fender-benders in the scramble to get at the duck for 1st round. I remember thinking at the time, I didn't care if I won any more rounds, I just wanted to send the "winning" duck hunter home! I managed to do that both times.

I love being thought to be the duck. When we first started running, it was a stitch to have people hunt us out, with my daughter (who is 24 but looks 16) driving, and then send them home. After a short while, they learned and went duck hunting elsewhere.
