You are exactly correct about the "New technology" I could have gone on about that or dual overhead cams, but I don't think that he is working on either one of those. I think you will notice I ask, as well as SS Div 6, ask about or to see the cam card. That would have helped identify what he is working on.
I could have also told him: whats the big deal with the cam? It's "at the valve" that the engine sees.
I could have gone on and on about finding cams that aren't ground as the spec card says (very common) when profiling them on Cam Pro Plus or a Cam Dr. I could have explained that the actual grinding diameter of the grinding wheel on some of the Non Computer grinders makes the cam profile different from the master profile. Computer grinders usually have "Compensation" programed in.
Just follow the KISS program, put it in at 108, I didn't want it to be any more confusing than it already is.
