We just made our 1st run. Air was 2425'. 58 cars went down. Ours stumbled badly off the starting line. Only went a 10.76. But at least it didn't oil down the track. Lynch was shut off at the starting line in the Droozemobile. I will let you know when I hear what happened. I don't know if live timing is working today, but lots of people were out of it at the end. Hopefully DRC will have the times up soon. Lots of new cars going fast.

Bill Bader told me it was NHRA call all the way, he wanted more cars. AS they have the room.

Supposedly, it isn't all about parking anymore, it's also about the number of cars going down the track in a given event length. I'm betting NHRA has lost some money due to rain outs and events finishing on Monday. Sort of makes you wonder why they added more classes (if you add two classes, you have to reduce the car count in others). And why they moved some events to dates more likely to have rain.

Keith says they have a broken timing chain. Hopefully they will make this run. Met Chris and Mandie.
I haven't checked DRC since my connection is so slow. But in case they haven't posted it yet--Fezell #1--1.08 under at 143--now that car really belongs in stock eliminator! Doug Duell was # 2 at .97 under, but he only ran 116. More later. SC is running and we are next. |

60 went down for 2nd pass. We picked up a tenth but are still slowwww. Fezell went a 9.51 at 143 again. Droozemobile still not fixed.

Cant believe it wont have bent valves after a broken timing chain or worse. What force caused it to break ?

Just a casual observation........Timing chains don't often break......unless of course something in the valvetrain hits something else......and yes valves are almost certainly bent.....I would think.... but don't have any first hand knowledge about these engines......
Past performances by this group seems to point to some conclusions one could make.....BUT... I cannot say what I think because it is apparently Politically Incorrect to say anything other than praise for their efforts......and to blame all their problems on various issues all of which are outside of their control.......
