This DL-32 system with ML1 O2 sensor system was bought new in 2007. However, the project is just nearing the point of being ready to install the system.
Since three years have passed, is something better, more installer & user friendly on the market. Or, is this still a valid tool? To me, it seems the wiring and install is unnecessarily complex. Not that I can not accomplish the install, because I can. But simpler is always better. Let me hear your thoughts. Thanks Larry Woodfin

Larry, I just installed a Racepak Sportsman logger with the O2 option in my car ,and the install is very simple. Other than power and ground wires , everything is connected to a bus networked harness. .......The download is by a SD card to your PC. .......I'll find out how simple it is to actually read the downloads as soon as I get my engine back in. .....Tom

We ran a DL-32 for almost 2 years. I think over that time it gave me usable info about 30% of the time. you have to isolate grounds, keep it away from noise, and hold your tongue just right for it to work. Bought a Racepak Sportsman in September, installed it the night before the Belle Rose points race. Never even hooked it to a laptop to configure it. It has worked without fail, every pass since. The driveshaft sensor for the DL-32 NEVER read right, the racepak one is flawless. I will never steer away from the racepak stuff. Its expensive, but worth it in the long run

Chad, Thanks for the note.
I am learning that your experiences are about the norm. Since the unit is "in-the-box" that is where I will keep it! ![]()

you won't regret that decision. I think ours ( and the LC-1's) spent more time on a UPS truck going back and forth to Innovate, than it did on the car.
