Rockingham question
I was looking at the weather forecast for the weekend....looks like 40% chance of thunderstorms on Sunday. May not seem like an issue but we all know how Rockingham can be Any chance if the weather continues to look bad we will run the entire race on Saturday? It is a thought!

Re: Rockingham question
Emily,
You know you can't believe the weather channel. They called for rain last weekend and we got both days in. The local forcast is for a chance of T-Storms Sunday afternoon. With a 10 a.m. start time we should be done if the storms arrive. See ya there. Chip p.s. They have a track dryer if needed |

Re: Rockingham question
That 40% is for scattered showers. That's weather-speak CYA. I'm sure the numbers will change as the day gets closer. I also think they'd try to get it all in on Saturday if Sunday starts to look like it'll be wet for sure.
I haven't been to The Rock in a couple of years. It'll be fun going back! Especially since I'm likely to be driving through snow to get to the airport Friday morning! |

Re: Rockingham question
I watch the weather all week also, and I only go to watch and take pictures. I will be at Zmax next Thursday and right now they are calling for 60% chance, but will probably change before then. See ya'll Saturday at the Rock.

Re: Rockingham question
I live an hour from the track. Local weather forcast this morning is: Friday 70's and sunny-Saturday mid 70's and sunny- Sunday mid 70's with a slight chance of a late afternoon T-Storm.
Looks really good. Chip |
