The Toronado GT also had 56% of that massive bulk on the drive wheels!

Bret,
Now that would be a 'copulation'.. F-W-D, 273/180HP in a 67'Marlin.. By the way, AMC called the 343/280HP in the 67' Marlin the 'Typhoon'.. Oh, those AMC marketing specialists,,,'brilliant'.
1970, 'gentlemans performance car', 1970 Pontiac Grand Prix SSJ, a 'Hurst' prepped car. 455/370HP H.O., 4-speed with 3.70 posi. .White, with gold trim, and gold 'honeycomb' wheels. . Ran H/Stock in 1970,, and could run 15.50's out-of-the-box.
Another neat GM 'boat'.
Paul

Ok if we're talking big boat muscle. 1970-71 Linclon Mark III 460ci 365 hp 500 ft. To small of a carb and they weighted 4600 lbs. But they would burn a set of H78-15's until your foot got tired.

Uh oh. Here comes Pascoe with the obscure Lincoln trivia. At least he knows who had history's quickest Lincoln-powered doorslammer!

Paul, I didn't remember anything about the "Typhoon". That's pretty cool.

Bret, I always thought that the 67' Marlin 3+3, with the 'Typhoon' high compression 343/280HP was cool marketing.. 4-speed and dual exhausts.
I will defer, the Lincoln Mark IV was probably the 'King of Steel'.. When I was a parking attendant at an exclusive country club in Westchester County, NY back in 73', we had a name for those cars.."_ _ _ Canoe".. I hope no ones feelings are hurt..

One car I remember being trashed by It's owner till it was junk was a 1969 Pontiac Grand Prix with the 390hp 428ho and 4 speed.

Ran pretty hard till he crashed it.

Bret, those bunneys in you avitar disturb me. Something tells me they are from the Monty Python farms?

The Gran Prix was replaced by a 1970 Monte Carlo SS454 auto. Also trashed. Both were crushed in the early 80s.
