Default Recent Drag Racing News

With the recent death of a spectator at Phoenix, my local tv station had coverage of it this morning.

I am MAD!!!

I wrote to them and asked, what right do they have to do a story on Drag Racing? They have NEVER covered anything on Drag Racing regarding wins, qualifying, or a story of a local driver, say Tim Wilkerson, a big enough name from 35 miles away and the tv station even has a branch in that town.

I know we write letters regarding the use of Drag Racing when it is really illegal street racing, but this I felt was sensationalism at it's worst and wrote the station manager about it.

The news channels are all bad. They tell us to keep our kids from playing the violent video games, where the news show nothing but violent stories about murder, theft, fires etc...

Sportscenter is about all the news I need

Keep in mind the media mantra: "if it bleeds, it leads"

Thanks to all that commented, but I am mad and you should be too.

I challenged the media to give as much attention to the achievements of Drag Racing as they do the sadness. They come up lacking.

Everyone of you on here deserve your "15 minutes" of fame, rather than the hopelessness we feel from this.

Amen. I'll research and read about any other "news" I need to know about.
