Mothers day through Labor Day, and by Labor Day, the track can be pretty cold.

I have a buddy that used to race at HRP with us moved up that way a month or so ago. His name is Alan Scanlan. I told him to look for you and say hi. He is a footbrake bracket racer. Probably doesn't have his car there as he is only going to be there a few years.

Nice video. Wish I could afford that nice of a Poncho motor for my car.

Thank you! The guy, that put it on youtube, emailed me when he saw that I had posted it. He also has some other excellent clips from the track, on youtube. Just type in Alaska Raceway Park.

Now that I'm retired, I hope I can afford to keep it running, but I do have two mor engines. One standard deck of 474cu. in. and another tall deck that needs to be heavily decked and a complete rotating assembly.

My brother lives in Eagle River.I was up there in June2006 for his daughter's wedding, and one evening,I took a ride up there to see the track. Very impressive scenery and surroundings.It looks like a nice track .Nice '64 as well!!!
