I am buying new wheels very soon for my wanna be stocker and was looking for what you guys have found to be the best wheel size and backspace with a hoosier 9x30 radial. I will be running the weld Magnum 2.0`s. Also can i fit a 10 inch tire under the car with the correct backspace? Thanks!!

Stock rear end or later camaro rear end?
My original rear end used a 15x8x4.5 backspace. I now have a 2nd gen camaro 10 bolt and use the same rear wheels. You could prob get a 5" backspace wheel to fit if you have a 2nd gen Camaro rear end. I dont know if you can fit a 30" tire without moving the rear end towards the rear by redrilling the locating holes in the leafs. Slicks grow forward a little at speed, so you need some room. Clark |

As far as i know i have a 1st gen rear end. I am buying new wheels very soon and just found out that the wheels i am getting (weld magnum 2.0) only come in 4 or 5 inch backspacing for a 15x8 wheel
For guys running a 30x9 hoosier radial, what backspace are you running with a Weld wheel? 4 or 5? and im assuming 15x8? thanks!! |
