Very nice car. I've heard that the car will be entered as a 2010 model with a 392 CID 6.4 Hemi engine with the same Hp rating as the 6.1. Can you confirm that? Steve

I don't think the 6.4 is on the books yet. Maybe SS in 2010.

The reason I asked about the year and engine size is that it's entered on the NHRA class registration site for the Winternationals as a '10 Challenger in AA/SA with a 387 engine. I know Jeg is aware that if he fills out a tech card with '10 as the model year and it's not an approved combination he will be DQ'd. Just curious as to whether the 392 will be approved at the last minute before the Winter's . Steve

Im curious as a real answer too , I wondered the same, but since none of it matters as he could register it as a 2020 Lear Jet Car with a 900inch motor.... as long as when he techs he techs it through as whats proper none matters.......
The 6.4 was disallowed by the NHRA on the original DP specs for several reasons, 1 of which was it was not available in a production vehicle. ?!?! But....the "comprimise" from my understanding were the available displacments and the non ported heads etc.......(6.4 crate motors as of now have ported heads as well as other "goodies") I would be suprised but not shocked if the NHRA let them in now, the truth is the 6.4 that WILL be available has more potential with the VVT the crates dont have.......the ramp up make power, 5.7 "Street" challys with the 5.7 vvt and a tune run as fast as the 2008 6.1 ( a bit lighter too) ..... The 6.4 "street" motor will be a formidable force for certain, street or track. Quote:
