Always better to mount the pump below the tank, I like to use the rear part of the diff. floor pan kick up, with the fuel pump mounted with the impeller down.

We did some measuring and made sure that the pump inlet will be below the fuel cell sump, even when keeping both inside the trunk area and the cell won't be too high to look out of place. Thanks.

I don't know if you can see it, but I built a 4-5 " riser to mount the cell on, for that reason and to make it more accessible.
