True,

They ran very low nines with cars that had super stock springs and shocks for a rear suspension. In 1965 Sox ran a 9.44 at 145mph in an altered wheel base 1965 Ply. with an injected hemi and a 4 speed with the only modification being every other tooth grinded off the syncro's. Try that on skinny tires!

Bachelder told me last week that they would decide on tuesday Feb 2 and that there may not be an official annoucement .

I'm not really sure how to interpret your post but you are correct although perhaps misguided. Their customers are (the ones who pay the most) the fans who show up for the dog and pony show, and the sponsors who hope to sell their goods to the spectators. If class racers don't attend, they will be replaced by bracket freaks who will.
