As of right now there are five cars in the mpls. area.Car #22 belongs to Chuck Lofgren,# 26 belongs to Larry Curtis & # 11 belongs to Fred Hanson all have 6.1 motors.I was also told that none of the Drag Pak motors have pistons in them that have been approved by NHRA.The pistons do not have a part # on top of them.Bruce From NHRA is working with Diamond pistons & the engine builder on this problem.I would hold off on bolting that oil pan on.

The number is on the bottom of the skirt. I'll look at it tomorrow. It is still apart. Those motors are all standard bore and stroke. I think it would be hard to find a place to put it on the top, but I'll see tomorrow. Got me interested now.

Irv I have been talking with Chuck Lofgren (Lofgren Automotive) for the past couple weeks about this problem and how NHRA is going to meas. dome height and deck height. He has been in contact with Bruce and hopefully this can be resolved by the end of the PRI show. Will all these pistons have to be returned to diamond for a stamped ID # As per the stock rules ?

I would think it would be done the same as the 426 has been for many years. Same concept Drop the piston down a specified amount and cc the cyl.

I think about the only way Paul Mercure and Mike Keener would race a Challenger is if someone give them a "race ready" car for free and it better be a S T I C K. Park the 68 camaro for the challenger ya right. If that happens then I know Keener & Mercure must have broke into my pharmacy and took more than a handful of vicodin, xanax, and maybe some anti-psychotic drugs lol...Luke
