Could you imagine trying to lift and not breakout on 3 other cars lol.

This raises so many questions... if it went this way.

Are you racing all three other people, or just the guy in the lane with your tree? If the former, how do you draw up a bracket like this? I mean, what's it look like on paper? Does CompuLink software understand this?

And then, just how does it work? You have to wait for three other clowns to stage? What does "courtesy stage" mean here? Does everyone have to go -pre- before anyone goes -stage-? I have to look across way over there to see if I can go in? And when do you get up on the chip? Again, I have to look all the way down the line? Ugh...

What if there's an ugly accident? Instead of someone breaking something and veering hard taking out just one other car, they can take out three other people?

Then, what about the shutdown/turnoff? Who goes where/when? Imagine all the parachute tangles that are possible. Hard enough to keep out of the way of one other person some times...

This seems like a real cluster to me.

So... they're running in the left pair of lanes all day, all weekend for that matter. I'm getting a feel for it, I understand that the left lane of those two is better for us, the transition is cleaner. I bust my gut to get lane choice, choose the left lane, set up everything for the left lane, then some clown goes out and sprays the right lane with 15 quarts of 50 weight. We get moved to the right pair of lanes that no car has been down in three days. My setup is worthless and my lane choice is ??

Ugh...

Chris, you're right it does kinda suck. That's a lot of money to spend to reduce oil down delays. There must be a better explanation. Maybe they assign you lanes 1&2 or 3&4 before the event? That doesn't work either...who knows

I hate to say this, but it sounds like someone with lots of money and construction experience who said to themselves: "heck, if two's good, four's great! Gotta be cheaper to build 'em while we're at it." I'm not sure anyone's thought this through with any level of detail. Pinks is one thing, real racing is a whole different kettle of fish...
