you don't get any incentives unless the vehicle you buy gets over 18 combined city/highway mpg.

any trucks over 1/2 ton aren't rated for fuel economy anyway, so they are excluded.

the government is only giving you the incentive to buy a car that would fit in the bed of your tow vehicle!
