It was really nice meeting Adam and his Dad this weekend. What a great TEAM! The car is unbelievable (that's why he got best engineered) and the driver isn't half bad either. Hope they come down south to see us some.

Richmond was about .020 tight. I've raced on a handful of Accutime systems, and they're all tight compared to a typical Compulink, just like the majority of TSI systems are .02 loose. I had two -.013 reds on Saturday, which was my double-oh spot. All of my 'good' lights were when I was missing it, then I had made adjustments to the car where my good spot was green, so when I missed it on Adam, I'm .04x. bleagh! Should be fine next year, as I'll know what to expect, and won't be poking around trying to get set up right. Unscrewing the bottom would've helped me... LOL I've actually played on a full-size practice tree that way before when we had a bulb out. Didn't change a thing, which just proves that I'm counting the tree, whether or not I admit it to myself.
I really enjoyed Skyview last year, but I could afford to go that far with the gold card last year. I plan on being at Beaver Springs for the $5K S/SS Combo, though... that's my home track, and I've always wanted to go to the York race. Now I finally have an excuse! What about the World Footbrake Challenge at Bristol?

If I had someone to get the stocker to Bristol...I'd be there in a second....heck if I get bored, I might drive the hemi jeep down and let everyone spot me. |

"Outside the box" - how bout - "Outside the rules book."
No body can question the workmanship of this car but what about the legality. This car has not been tech-ed properly. Has NHRA determined this car to be legal? If so, can all cars be built to these specs and standards? Here are some obvious points. 1. Motor Plate 2. Motor / Mounts moved back 3. Radiator core support cut to allow front end removal 4. No stock wiring 5. No heater controls 6. Frame connected above the floor 7. Incorrect seats 8. Incorrect steering column 9. A-Frame adjustable stops Beautiful Car - just not a what NHRA should consider a Stocker. |
