Chingr73, I have posted “real hard facts” on what’s going on. The Drag Pak Challengers are being built right now. The rate of build is about 10 cars per month. I’ve been told that the NHRA is on board and the cars will be released soon. The auto industry is faced with some very difficult times and Dodge/Mopar is doing a great job continuing this Drag Pak project. The CJ Mustang is already at the track because it’s very close to a production car. The Drag Pak Challenger on the other hand has many more race only modifications and the NHRA and Mopar need ample time to review and evaluate before final approval. There is a process and it takes time. Soon, trust me!

They kind of fumbled the ball on this one and Ford caught it and scored.
The Challenger was announced first and should have been put out there at the end of last season. I also think they are making a mistake offering it incomplete and with a variety of engines including ones from the 80's. It should have a 5.7 or 6.1 for Stock and if they felt a need to make a GT car out of it sell it minus engine and let customers worry about the engine choice. |

I love Mopars but what do you expect from a company that is on the balls of their ***,3 hostile takeovers over the years, cant sell cars now and went groveling on their hands and knees to the government for a handout.Just to satisfy a bunch of drag racers they're going to build cars they will lose money on.If they do build them I hope they do go broke.Business first, toys second. That's one reason the American car companies are in the shape they're in. Ed F. According to the schedule you posted he wont be at any NHRA races in Stock except maybe Indy.

Now granted Indy is "INDY", and Gainesville is right there in his back yard, but what about Denver, Co., and the "Mopar Mile High Nationals"??? I'm surprised that the lone Mopar sponsored NHRA race they have isn't included???
