Noticed a great pic of my white 69 camaro ragtop at the Grove. Who has this pic? It's from the early 70's.

That is one of hundreds of my photos that I have scanned in the past few months and was taken at the WCS meet in 1971. Here are a few more. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Charlie Hampp, Jr. and I were best friends in high school and I could always be found traveling with him. Here is something I found from the 1970 Summernationals. ![]() |

Tom, Those are all great pics. Brings back many fond memories. BTW, Charlie was a racing friend of mine. Is he still around?

Wish that there were still named cars out there. Or at least the one's that aren't afraid to put the name on the side of the car.

Charlie Sr. is still around, he will be 90 in May. Charlie Jr. lives in Olney, MD and has not been involved in racing for at least 25 years. When I saw this photo of Charlie's Camaro, and the Olds, I thought of the trip to Bowling Green around 1973. The Olds had a 455 and TH400 trans, which lost high gear only 30 miles from home. Being the die-hard racers that they were, they drove from MD to KY and back with only 1st & 2nd gear. Good thing gas was cheap! Tom, Just found this one a couple days ago from the 1985 Super Stock Nationals. ![]() |

Thanks Tom M.
If that was 85, I believe that would have been my very first race! I really appreciate the pic. Thanks, Tom Sheehan

Hi there my name is John,
My friend owns Charlie Hampp's 1970 Camaro Witchcraft ll. It has 95 miles on odometer, and is still in race condition. I'm not able to post the picture because its the wrong size. Does anyone have any other photo's? Thanks! John |
