Well I guess I better get ya'll caught up on Vegas, baby!
We left the track on Monday and went to the Strip and stayed at Harrah's until this morning! We had a great time with the Cottens and Luneacks. Didn't win any money, but didn't lose too much. I have a few pictures that I will get uploaded and post soon. Then we came back out here to the track today for test and tune. We got our 3 runs for $100. They know how to charge out here! He blew the tires off 1st run, but got 2 good ones after that. There appeared to be quite a few testing today. Then tonight I cooked chili and it was pretty good even if I say so myself. It has turned cooler, so the warm chili was good. Oh, Sunday night and Monday, it was really windy here! 30 or so mph sustained winds with gusts up to 50-60 mph. Dust everywhere!! The rest of the week it is supposed to be 70s for highs and 40s for lows and lots of sunshine! |

Forgot how much they stretched out this event. In any case I've got UStream pulled up to watch this morning's Stock and Super Stock passes then on with my day. Can't wait for elims on Saturday, going to be an interesting points race. Good luck Larry and Patsy!

Thanks Jim! We need it!
93 cars went down first round in Stock! As Larry said in the other post, unofficially Calvert in #1 at 1.25 under. #2 is Reyes at 1.18 under. It was great to hear Alan Rhinehart announcing stock. He knows most of the stockers and does a great job! The other guy is ok, too, but last weekend he kept calling the Cuda purple! Everyone knows it is a "manly" pink! Super stock is running now and then 1 round of everything before we run again. More later! |
