6.50 x 466HP = 3,029 + 170 = 3,199 pounds

Moroso calculator:

3,200 pounds @ 8.95 et = 152 MPH and 850 Horsepower

This run will be a banner headline for the paparazzi.

6.5 x 491 HP = 3,192 + 170 = 3,362 pounds

Moroso calculator:

3,362 pounds @ 8.95 et = 152 MPH and 905 Horsepower

More than double the amount of the original nhra adjusted Horsepower.

1320 / 153.88 = 8.58 ET prediction with clutch and / or suspension tune. This assumes the TB is WOT all 1320'

I did a quick search and :

The first 8 second Pro Stock was a 1973 Duster ( Ronald Lyles ?? )

Not sure what year that happened tho. Maybe a stats guy can chime in.

Wow....from 8 second Pro Stocks to 8 second Stockers in less than 40 years.

Bobby DeArmond made the first 9 second Stock run at Mission BC May 6, 2001. I believe on the tape "4 Days In May", Jim Waldo made the comment that it was (if I recall correctly), "23 years to the day that I made the first 10 second Stock run at Seatle".

If so, then it was 1978.
