How car weight works

Goto the class racer info website. And make an account. Once you enter your car info. It’ll figure it all out for you.natural, lighter and heavier classes. But you have to register (it’s easy). I’m embarrassed to say. I’ve been looking at that website for a long long time. And just registered last week. I had no idea how much more info there was available. If you just register and log in.

I did that a few years back but I’ll return to see if I have that correct

Ok what I come up with,
D/= car and me 3011 just car 2931
E/= car and me 3160 ‘’ ‘’ 3080
F/= 3310 3230
I’ll add 20 pounds at least to be on safe side

I don't think that is right. Correct me if I am wrong guys. Not sure if 3160 gets rounded up to 3165 or not.

that did not show up right on the post
first weight is "car plus driver weight",
second "weight is rounded up to the nearest 5 pounds" this is race weight
third column is the "weight of the car without a 250lb driver"

You always round down for weight. Example: 3164 is 3160

I’ll look again but in the example that NHRA gave with the Mustang I didn’t see anything about roundup weight even if it’s only 5 pounds. I won’t be that close, I’m figuring 20 over just to be safe.

When you fill out your tech card you need to know the exact minimum weight or you can get disqualified. That's the reason for getting it correct.
