Thanks for the info on the aftermarket starters,but I need to go down to the auto parts store and get a original style starter as I need to have it on the car in a day or so.

I believe the starter that's in my 454 (7.4 Liters - ugh!) 1989 20 series Surburban 2wd, Auto transmission is the staggered pattern and High Torque. U can even get the Late Model OEM Mini Starters in Staggered Pattern---I wish you lived closer I have both

Lynn - I have a factory mini starter on my 68 Camaro w/ 400 sbc. Just ask for a starter for a 1998 K1500 w/ a 350. It's staggered bolt pattern and works great with the headers.O'Reilly part number is N613326A.
