Worked on a KS/A with a Metric 200 and I remember calling a trans guy to see if that brace needed to be there. Never saw anything like that before. I left it after being told DO NOT TOUCH IT!

We do run a brace, and haven't had a problem in 3 years.

This is kind of off topic but still a metric question. Has anyone ever broke a rear end gear set and as a result hurt the transmission, specifically a metric 200?

Turbo Action also has a bellhousing for Metric 200. Check with them.

Common problem not only related to TH200's. Anytime you tear a ring & pinion out, it's a good idea to drop the pan on the trans at the same time. Banging from the rear end often causes roller clutch (sprag) failure.
