Woodroo Jose recommended the 255/350. I got NHRA to reduce the 295 to 290hp writing to them a while back. Woodro felt the 295 at 290 was not worth the 10 HP difference over the 441 Headed 255. The 492 Casting had the same Valves though more Compression. But the 441's out flowed the 492's enough to be a better combination. my 2 cents d |

The 295 or 300 horse motors are now 286. Try a set of 186 heads and you will have a decent combination. The compression difference should be about 1 1/2 points. With the new hp off this might be a little better.
