Default Re: Crankshaft Specialist Company, Mamphis Tn

Only complaints I ever heard is price was never what was quoted. Also if you have cracked crank don't let them convince you cracks are only few thousands deep and won't hurt anything.I had customer with cracked crank told him to scrap they told him usaully cracks are only few thousands deep and don't hurt anything Make long story short he sent crank to them had checked they said was'nt hurt only way could be better was to build back std.w chrome cost quite bit more than was supposed to ran 8-10 passes wiped out
his mains again because it was cracked and flexing was'nt anything wrong with there work on chrome or sizing just did it to broke crank.
I always tell people it may be small crack in block, head, crank but it's not going to get smaller it will only get bigger.
If you have good crank to work with and can get price that they will stick to then I say get them to do chrome work,If there's additional work that has to be done over original estimate and you ok it thats how it supposed to be but if you are give est. then get charged more with no additional work or explanation of why it was more that's wrong.
