By "one shot wonder" I mean a racer who goes to one "qualifying" race all year, basically not supporting the series at all otherwise, winning, then potentially winning the World Championship. It doesn't matter if its a hitter, veteran or beginner. I think that's the biggest complaint. But on the other hand, this format does provide opportunities to those who can't afford to travel enough under the old format. Just having some type of minimum attendance requirement, something between the current "one" and the old div. and nat. minimums, might be better. (Just my opinion.)

Sid,
Have you been under a Rock the last year.DDUUUHHHH. At first I did'nt like the new format, but now I love it. How awesome would it be to be crowned WORLD CHAMP after defeating the top 20 or so drivers in a head to head 1 race shootout. I do think there needs to be a minimum number of races participated in to qualify. I would'nt call Scotty a one hit wonder. Was'nt he T/D world champ last year? |
