I have always had good luck with Moroso front tires. Whatever you use make sure that the front end is aligned properly or you will wear out any tire you put on.

On my S/G car I have a set of Moroso tires which I bought originally 21 years ago, they still work great and do not have any cracks in them. I switched over to a shorter set of M&H Racemaster front tires (which are about the same age, but more passes and much more wear), and it was noticeable that I had to "drive" the car more.
