Front Runner Tires - which brand?

Hello all,
I run my Camaro in PRO ET 1/8th mile. ET Finals are 1/4 mile in Topeka.
I am concerned that the tires may not hold up to 120 in the qtr. I run 7.12-7.20 in the 1/8 at 95 mph.
I am considering changing from my radial street tires (on 15x3.5" Welds) to drag racing front runnners.
Which brand would you recommend, and why?
Goodyear, Hoosier, Moroso.
I have heard that Hoosiers dont last very long.
I have heard Moroso tires last forever.
A friend recommended Goodyears.

My reaction times are decent, so I am not going to change to another diameter.

Thanks
Clark Doukas

I have always had good luck with Moroso front tires. Whatever you use make sure that the front end is aligned properly or you will wear out any tire you put on.

On my S/G car I have a set of Moroso tires which I bought originally 21 years ago, they still work great and do not have any cracks in them. I switched over to a shorter set of M&H Racemaster front tires (which are about the same age, but more passes and much more wear), and it was noticeable that I had to "drive" the car more.

Mine have taken lots of abuse...Been 130 on them, numerous wheelstands, slamming down, not to mention countless street miles..

Moroso, they'll dry rot before you can wear them out. Never had a balance problem and they always ran straight.

My bracket car has had the same 7.10 Moroso "Drag Specials" for over 10 years, still look like new, and hold air well. My Stocker has 3 different sizes of M/T fronts, they also hold air OK, but they do wear much quicker than the Morosos. The M/T`s are also available in more sizes.

Yes -- they are Kuhmo 165/80r-15 tires. I have been 105 on them without issue, but the new engine should run 115-120mph in the qtr. I figure I had better get a tire on that is rated for the qtr mile.

Sounds like a lot of Moroso tires are out there.
Is there anything bad with the Goodyear front runners?
