The unique part of this class is the racer has to use an Iron Cylinder Head.
I do believe that Chevrolet did cast Iron LS cylinder heads, But I don't know if they are legal.
You should contact the NHRA Tech Dept. and find out, that could be a viable option. At this point in time, I would recheck the Rule Book to be certain that rule still stands. Right now parts availability for any engine combination will be an "uphill battle" ! If that LS Head is usable might make it easier to find them, even in used condition.
