At Mopars at the Strip in Vegas if the vehicles for sale were in good shape or good parts for sale - a high percentage were sold to them. I asked several of these folks how come you guys are buying everything you can, running up bids and have nothing to sell? Most remarks were Mopars are hot in Canada like Chevy were years ago down here. We don't sell anything Mopar. I sold a car on 'racejunk.com' had guys in the US want to make payments (tire kickers), then a guy pops up from Canada buys the how setup, car, extra motor, parts, enclosed trailer - everything. He paid $40K for the car alone and that cost him for the total package in Canadian taxes $12K to get it home. He didn't even blink I'm by the transport driver at the border in New York.
Us Canadian's have always been known to be a little bit away from the norm. I've been told. Some of us prefer it that way tho
NOW, you add a Mopar to the mix, & you get some really F'd up individual's

What some Americans don't realize is that the Canadian "car belt" is very narrow due to geographical location. Let's face it, it gets freakin cold up here, & the population dimenishes substantually the further north you go.
There were never alot of Mopars up here to begin with, compared to US numbers. And for the ones that did come north of the 49th parrallel, the vast majority were subjected to salt. Not alot of them have survived 40 plus years.
To find a good car up here is a rarity!!!!!. They're here, but, not by the vast numbers you see in the USA.
We gotta shop south of the 49th to find what we're looking for, then pay the price to get them back up here

ie: shipping
brokerage costs @ border
Canadian to US exchange ( Currently our $ is worth approx. .90 cents to $1.00 US)
Taxes of vehicle will add up to about 14% above the cost of vehicle

What's the cost of regular fuel down there?? It's $1.25 a litre in my province, which is
approx. $5.00 a US gallon. Oh ya, lets not forget to subract that our $ is only worth .90.

Oh Canada---Our home & native land----------------------------------------------
