Default Re: Race Fuel Question

Pete

Sunoco will pass fuel check. Buy it in quantity and be sure it's fresh. Rick told me Sunoco finally updated info to NHRA last year, all should be good at fuel check.

Your engine will run on Purple but Blue is faster burning and more consistent batch to batch. Spoke to engineer from Sunoco a few years ago at PRI when doing some research. You will need to change your fuel and timing maps.

The best thing to do is buy a drum from a good dealer and store it properly. The fuel will not degrade for a year if in closed metal container out of heat and sun.

Hope this helps.
