I had to make a small correction.
The 1968 Chevelle SS 396 (375 HP) was classed in B/S for 1969.

Jim LeRoux ran a 12.73 @ 111 MPH in the 1968 Hemi Road Runner.
Pretty much a basic stock Street-Hemi, with 4.56 gears, headers,
a little transmission work and 10" slicks.

The 1968 Chevelle SS 396, B/Stock,,,,had some goodies too.
...and ran a very close 12.85 @ 111 MPH.

Note: Jim took it easy on the 68' Chevelle SS,,,,,,,,,as the 68' Hemi Road Runner
was capable of running 12.10's @ 118 MPH.
