Default Re: Too much power on the street???

If you are a mopar guy it is easy to build a big block A Body that will run deep

into 11 Sec. Range and still be a fun low tech Driver.

Example: I have a 1969 Valiant with a stock short block 440 with cast

9:1 pistons and a 220 @ .050 cam and single 120lb. seat springs. It has

20,000 Miles on rebuilt with 3.91 gear and stock 340 mopar converter.

It weighs 3400 lb. with me in it. Last time out it ran 11.64 @111.82 on pump

gas thru 2 1/2 exhaust on street tires. The weather station was 3000 +.

Every body at LVMS know the car it has been Pro Track Champion before.

and usually finishes near the top ever single year. If you can live with 8 MPG you can drive it anywhere!
