There's a limit to how much spring pressure you can use, and after that, you're just wasting power and creating problems. If you think the valve spring rule will suddenly add 1000RPM of usable power band you will be sorely disappointed in most cases.

You can only make a cam lobe so aggressive before you run off the edge of the lifter. There's already plenty of spring available to deal with that limiting factor.

It seems a lot of people thing "if a little is good, more is better, and too much is just right". That is not necessarily true with valve spring pressure.

It is not just valve spring pressure that is breaking rockers.
