I need to improve my cooling setup in my 86 camaro G/S 305 car
Currently I have a stock type alum water pump with a moroso motor style drive and a plastic 6? blade fan. Factory alum radiator with the factory shroud that only shrouds the top half of the fan. The car doesn't run hot, it just takes too long to cool between rounds. I have just one battery up front, and I like the setup I have as far as current draw, but I think the main problem is that it doesn't circulated the water fast enough. For weight reasons I would like to stick with the one battery. Do the aftermarket pumps and fans draw alot more current ? has anyone ever checked that kind of stuff ? or is it just charge the battery all the time ? What do you see racers that race all the time using ? Thanks
