Default Turbo 350 Valve Body

I hope some of you guys can steer me in the right direction. Can you recommend a valve body for my T350? There are many choices as far as brands, band apply, non band apply etc. Unlike everything else I have done to my car, I want to make the right choice and only buy a valve body one time.

(I do not want a trans brake).

Thank you all in advance.

ATI reverse pattern no band apply. Make sure you take the band out and make the other modifications in the instructions.

I have very limited automatic transmission knowledge. What is your reason for this. Not trying to be a smart @@@ just wanting to learn a little more. Thanks Doug

If you're not using the 2nd brake band, it is a liability, it is in the way, and with the no band apply valve body, there's really nothing to hold it in place.

The instructions will also have you remove or modify a few other parts.

Ok. That part I understand now. Are you familiar with the Turbo Action Cheetah valve body with auto 1-2. It doesn't engine brake in 1st gear. Would that be the same no band apply as what your achieving with the ATI reverse pattern with no band apply?
