I have a 72 Nova stock front end, backhalf style car with a big block. I don't class race just bracket and super street. I need to put new springs in the front. The car with driver is 3105 lbs. The front is 1705 lbs. with driver. What are some of you using in your stock and super stockers. I realize my weight may be lighter than some of yours. How are you coming up with the correct spring rate and where to get them. Thanks

you ain't been on the bumper yet
![]() ![]() That said, who makes the spring isn't important, what is important is that you use the tallest spring that will fit with a wire diameter heavy enough to the support the nose weight within 10%, that when compressed at ride height results in a air gap of no more than 1" between the factory snubber on the lower control arm and it's point of contact on the frame Last edited by 1320racer; 03-05-2012 at 10:18 PM. |
