2 ?'s here.
1. is it use or age that determines replacement of a Jesel belt? 2. there are two different belts available now. the original and a new one made of/with EPDM. it's more expensive and i assume it's newer. thoughts/experience on one or both. thanks rod in AZ |

From experence, I've learned pay me now is better than pay me later when it comes to the valve train !
I may be overdoing it ,but I put a new belt on with every rebuild ,just call it insurance. I just put on my first EDPM belt ,so I cant tell you if its worth the extra $$$.

I always replace when freshing up engines, but I've seen guys run same belt for years to me it's not worth the risk versus cost.
Never have ran the white belt. Mike Taylor 3601 |
