Jesel belt ?'s

2 ?'s here.
1. is it use or age that determines replacement of a Jesel belt?
2. there are two different belts available now. the original and a new one made of/with EPDM. it's more expensive and i assume it's newer.
thoughts/experience on one or both.

thanks

From experence, I've learned pay me now is better than pay me later when it comes to the valve train !
I may be overdoing it ,but I put a new belt on with every rebuild ,just call it insurance.
I just put on my first EDPM belt ,so I cant tell you if its worth the extra $$$.

I always replace when freshing up engines, but I've seen guys run same belt for years to me it's not worth the risk versus cost.
Never have ran the white belt.
