How in the hell would those yo yo`s know that? Sounds like the economy is better everywhere in NHRA`s eyes! I beg to differ.

It is a strange turn of events for me about drag race news papers. Some years ago I poured over every page, several times, checking out all the details.

These days I barely glance at them. And it is not just the IHRA & NHRA papers. At the shop we get Engine Builder, Tire Dealer, Motor Age, MOPAR news,Tool Talk, stuff from PBM & Motor State Distributing, and on and on, something like that is in the box every day.

Mostly I pitch them in the trash.

For me the main reason is access to all the info we have on the web. If I need something from PBM I just go on-line and check it out. No need to look for it in some miss filled news flier.

For racing news, instant news is on-line 24/7 What ever comes in the mail is about 2 weeks old.

Just more examples for our changing world.

Question Re: Natl.Dragster reader average income

Just an objective question and certainly not meaning to stick up for NHRA.....but wouldn't "household income" include everyone in the household? (i.e.: husband & wife)

Perhaps as a marketing ploy, they use "household" to jack up the numbers for the sake of advertisers instead of "individual" readers. At first glance, it would look like their readers would have more money to spend with their advertisers. Somehow I don't think that most wives would be part of the target audience most ads are for.

But Beard is right. The board of directors would likely up the average quite a bit!

Larry get subscriptions to Hemmings Muscle Cars and Hemmings Classic Cars. Both are superb.I read every issue cover to cover. You learn something new in every issue.I don't read any of the drag racing rags.I don't need to know every bit of info about chevy, chevy,
chevy, ford, chevy, chevy, mopar and maybe just maybe an AMC powered AMC once every two years.
