McKay Swift also bought an A990 - Bell Boys, Marshall Bell.
For those still following, Jim Maycock’s son Mike has contacted me -

“Hi. My dad was Jerry Maycock. I remember sitting in the back of the high and the mighty when dad was warming it up before setting the valves every week at wattsburg PITA drag strip.

I still have a couple pics of the car racing in 64? I saw your comment about that being the last car dad and jim had together. I know they had a red 65 car after that. As a kid I can remember dad having the Gorski car stored in our shop. Think it was yellow?”

The info I have on file shows it was an auto?

I just would assume with Grump driving it would have been 4 spd ?

Edit, Never mind
Found out elsewhere , It was in fact an auto car.
I saw your question on FB - small world!
