As many have said before, the GM 163 hi-rise intake fits just fine with the original carb & cowl induction air cleaner setup on the '70 Chevelles...that's what we run on Red Alert [see below].

LOL, don't laugh, our original "Red Alert" '70 LS6 Chevelle has fiber optics, rear defrost, power windows, console, etc...decked out for a friggin' race car. She's heavy, but she can still get 'em off the ground...
