I've was considering using a transmission with electric pump eliminating the mechanical one and incorporating it to the rear end.. It's leagal for any internal modifications to the trans but, maybe hard to fit a pump inside of the case...is outside the case still legal?

I have run 30wt in the rear and tranny on a run or two when I needed "everything I could get at any cost". Of course it all came apart after the race for inspection.
