The factored HP numbers are at the bottom of columns that show the power to weight ratios for each car model and engine combo.

Let's cut to the chase here...HP too high.

If you have the desire to race a 350 Olds engine, find yourself a 77 Firebird.
You're welcome ;-)

Buck Jednak, Ron Garey and Al Provoast had some pretty quick Olds-powered Omegas back in the day and that's probably how the HP got up where it's at. However, if you've got the will and the way...you could just build it and get it on the track. Then e-mail NHRA to get the horsepower reduced. They rarely reduce HP if there's no current data to support it. Just my .02.

It's NHRA rated at 240hp/14lbs per HP=3530lbs including driver.
Not a bad HP factor. The same year Chevy is factored to 287hp for reference and the Buick Apollo seems to be a good combo too and the Pontiac Ventura of the same year seems like decent combos too. Not too familiar with the Olds engines power potential but I'd seek out Provoast or whoever did his engines.

'73 Olds 350 with a 4V is at 285! IMHO, the 350 Olds is every bit as good as a 350 Chevy but expensive. The 77 Olds 350 in a Firebird is rated at 250 HP.

But he is specifically asking about the 1973 Omega with factory rating of 160hp, which NHRA has rated at 240Hp, not 280 or 1977 rating. He has a car already apparently.

Yes, but you compared it to other GM 4 bbl 350's .
If you want a fair comparison, try the 70 350 Chevy... 1.375 carb @ 224 HP in a Nova.
Olds has the 1.18 carb..Same as a 305... Still not a good combo.
Just because someone has a car in his possession, it doesn't mean they ought to build a
non-competitive Stocker out of it ... It's a false economic situation, in the long run.
