Stock & Super Stock 4-speeds

What is the prefered 4-speed in Stock and in Super Stock?

If I remember correctly, stock was clutch assisted and super stock was clutchless. Is this still correct?

G-Force, and Jerico sell clutch assisted and clutchless. Liberty clutchless only, but will modify stock trans for clutch assisted. Who's best? Depends on who you talk to. They all work well.

Re: Stock & Super Stock 4-speeds

Liberty makes the Equalizer (clutchless with dual cluster shafts) 5 speed that is legal in Super Stock. Liberty also makes an LSC 5000 (single cluster) and LSC 5100 that are legal in stock. The LSC 5000 and LSC 5100 are very similar in design to the old Doug Nash split clam shell type transmission. We run an LSC 5100 in our CobraJet, but run it in a 4 speed configuration. If you run any of the split clam sheel transmissions as a 5 speed you will have issues. We have had zero breakage problems running the LSC 5100 in 4 speed configuration. I see alot of guys running the Jerico DR4 & CL4. And also the Gforce 101A. Whick looks basically like the Jerico. The Liberty 5100 is also a strong looking trans. Seems like i see most guys running the Jerico down here in the south.

Jerico had the market cornered for a lot of years. Gforce looks likt a T10

George Wright we run a LSC 500 as a 5 speed , and before that a Nash . Are there specific concerns you could share ? ---Trevor

Didn't know Liberty made stock legal after market trans. Sorry for the mistake. I'd have to say it's probably a good one.

I understand everyone has a preference or an opinion, but are there any specific or distinct benefit to the DR4 Vs the G101A Vs the LSC 5000/5100 ? Thanks

Re: Stock & Super Stock 4-speeds

The Nash has been around forever.....its just that since he left years ago , its now called an LS5000 by Liberty and a GF-5R by GForce .
I mean after all , whats a Liberty clutchless but a Nash laid over on its side with another cluster added...........was that a revolutionary "no brainer" or what?:D
