battery cable ???
 

Need to replace a positive(+) battery cable moving batteries around and the present cable is way too long ---need to be about 6 feet long max----what is the smallest size cable I should even consider using???-- thanx FED387

I know weight may play a part here, but I would suggest a 1/0 cable, resistance increases with length. I'd rather my cable be a little heavy, than not make the call because it's not carrying enough juice to turn a hot motor...

this is ultimately gonna be a comp car so weight IS a consideration too---not worried bout hot lapping it motor gets cooled down real good--- any other ideas out there??? and I do appreciate your response

If weight is a concern, what about Accel's Lightning cable? Copper clad aluminum and available in 1, 2 and 4 gauge 20' and 100' spools?
